This Privacy Policy explains how FundationOne handles information when you use Cory Co-Writer.

What the Add-in Processes

• The text you actively select in Microsoft Word.
• Your rewrite instruction or prompt.
• The rewritten alternatives returned by your chosen AI provider.
• Your provider configuration, such as provider name, model, and temperature.
• Your API key, which is stored locally on the device where you enter it.

How the Add-in Works

When you ask Cory Co-Writer to generate alternatives, the selected text, your instruction, and the relevant request settings are sent directly from the Word task pane to the AI provider you selected. FundationOne does not operate a rewrite proxy for this version of the add-in.

What Stays Local

• Your API key is stored in local browser storage on the device where you entered it.
• Your recent prompt and non-sensitive add-in settings are stored locally and may also sync through Microsoft Office roaming settings when that feature is available in your Word environment.
• FundationOne does not maintain a central database of your selected text, prompts, or generated alternatives for this add-in.

Third-Party Processing

Your chosen AI provider receives the content you send for rewriting and processes it under that provider's own privacy terms. If you use OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Scaleway, you are responsible for reviewing that provider's policies before use.

The static add-in site may also be served by a third-party hosting provider. That host may process standard web request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and request logs needed to deliver the site securely.

What FundationOne Does Not Do

• No built-in advertising or analytics tracking is included in the add-in.
• No sale of your personal data.
• No server-side storage of your rewrite requests or outputs by FundationOne for this add-in flow.

Your Choices

• Choose which provider and model you use.
• Remove or reset saved settings inside the add-in.
• Avoid sending sensitive, regulated, or confidential text unless you are comfortable with your selected provider processing it.

Retention

Locally stored settings remain on your device until you clear them, reset the add-in settings, clear local browser storage, or remove the add-in. If Office roaming settings are available in your environment, Microsoft may sync some non-sensitive settings between your signed-in Office sessions.
